This Refund & Chargeback Policy explains how billing, refunds, and payment disputes work for the True & Tiny Pro subscription. By subscribing to or using a paid plan, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Plans & billing
- Free plan: available at no cost, with usage limits (file size and batch size). No payment is required.
- Pro plan: US$5.00 per month, billed as a recurring subscription through our payment processor (Stripe) or via PayPal.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on each renewal date.
- Prices are stated in US dollars; your bank may apply currency conversion and fees that are outside our control.
2. First-month trial (“pay then refunded”)
Where we offer the “Try Pro free for 1 month” promotion, the mechanics are stated clearly at checkout: we charge US$5.00 up front to activate Pro, and that US$5.00 is refunded at the end of your first month so your first month effectively costs nothing. After the first month, the subscription continues at US$5.00/month until cancelled. Activating this promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account billing portal or by emailing us. When you cancel, your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period except as described below.
4. Refund eligibility
Because True & Tiny is a digital service that is delivered and consumed immediately, fees are generally non-refundable once the service has been used. However, we want you to be treated fairly. We will issue a refund in the following cases:
- A duplicate or accidental charge caused by a technical error.
- A charge made after a valid cancellation was completed.
- A documented service failure where the Pro features were unavailable for a sustained period and you contacted us about it.
- The contractual refund under the first-month trial above.
- Any refund we agree to at our reasonable discretion as a goodwill gesture.
Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the charge.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@trueandtiny.com from the email address on your account, including the charge date and amount. We aim to respond within 2 business days and to resolve valid requests promptly. Most issues are resolved quickly and amicably — please reach out before taking any other action.
6. Chargebacks & payment disputes
A “chargeback” (or payment dispute) is when you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a charge. You agree to the following:
- You will contact us first and allow us a reasonable opportunity (at least 5 business days) to resolve any billing concern before initiating a chargeback.
- Initiating a chargeback for a charge relating to services that were provided to and used by your account — rather than first requesting a refund — is a breach of these terms and may be treated as a wrongful or fraudulent dispute.
- If you file such a dispute, we may submit our records (see Section 7) as evidence that the service was authorized, delivered, and used.
- We may suspend or permanently block any account associated with a wrongful chargeback, including blocking the associated email address and payment method from future use of the service.
- Where permitted by law, you remain responsible for amounts wrongfully charged back, together with any dispute or chargeback fees levied on us by the payment networks, and reasonable costs of recovery.
None of the above limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
7. Records we keep as proof of service
To operate the service and to resolve any dispute fairly, we retain records that may include: your account email and verification status; account creation and login timestamps; the date, amount, and payment method of each charge; and a log of your activity, including the files you processed (file names, sizes, formats) and the dates and times you used the service. For paid accounts, processed files and usage logs are retained for up to 12 months. These records are used, among other things, as evidence of authorized use when responding to payment disputes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
